Aspirants preparing for NEET 2023 must know the exam date in advance. This helps serious aspirants in certain ways.
We all know that COVID 19 has affected the exam schedule significantly. This is the main reason why there is so much uncertainty regarding the NEET 2023 exam date. Before COVID 19, the NEET exam was conducted on the first or the second Sunday of May. Check the previous NEET exam dates:
NEET 2018 - 6th May (Sunday)
NEET 2019 - 5th May (Sunday)
NEET 2020 exam date: However, COVID 19 lockdown caused a lot of disruption to students' exam preparation. Considering that NTA postponed the NEET 2020 exam and later it was conducted on the 13th of September 2020 (Sunday). This allowed students to make up for their academic losses.
NEET 2021 Exam Date: NTA then decided in 2021 to go back to the original schedule. NEET 2021 was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 1, 2021. It was postponed due to student protests and the second COVID wave. The final NEET 2021 exam date was set for 12 September 2021.
NEET 2022 Exam Date: NTA is trying to get back on track by moving back the exam date. This is evident from the NEET 2022 exam date, which is scheduled to take place on 17 July 2022. This is a significant shift of 2 months from the previous two years.

Before going to predict the NEET 2023 exam date. Let's first discuss some important facts which may affect the NEET 2023 exam date.
1. COVID Era is over: We have successfully dealt with the COVID pandemic and our lives are back on track. NTA would like NTA to conduct May in a similar way to what was done in the pre-pandemic period.
2. NEET 2022 Exam Date: Considering the NEET 2022 exam date, aspirants who are preparing for NEET 2023 and subsequent years can expect their NEET 2023 exam date to be in the last week of May 2023 or the first week of June 2023.
3. Class 12 CBSE Board Exam Pattern Change: Students can also expect NEET 2023 exam will be held earlier than the previous year's schedule due to the change in the CBSE board examination pattern.
Last year, the board announced two sets for class 12 students to help them prepare for "unprecedented situations" such as the Covid-19 pandemic. It takes considerably longer to complete the two terms and the corresponding exams. Because of this, NTA has to shift or postpone NEET and JEE exams to July or September months. But from this year, CBSE will be conducting only one terminal exam i.e annual board exams. So, CBSE has decided to wrap up the annual session quite early.
This increases the likelihood that NTA will conduct NEET 2023 in May, as it was before the COVID 19 pandemic.
